How to set up my OBi device with a OneSuite account?
  1. Log into OBiTalk.com
  2. Go to Approved Service Providers in the left menu
  3. Select OneSuite
  4. On the OneSuite page, select the device and slot you’d like to configure
  5. If you already have a OneSuite account:
    • Click “Restore existing OneSuite account” to log into your OneSuite account
    • Your device will be automatically configured once you successfully log in
  6. If you don’t have a OneSuite account:
    • Click “Sign up at OneSuite.com” to create a new OneSuite account with SuiteAdvantage subscription
    • Your device will be automatically configured once you finish sign-up
How to verify if my OBi device is configured with OneSuite?

You could check device status at OBiTalk.com; also, the configuration process will be logged inside your OneSuite account. Here’s how to verify it:

  1. Log into your OneSuite account
  2. Go to History and check your recent history
  3. Where you will see:
    Error CodeMessage
    Config:OKConfiguration is successful
    Config:ERR:1Configuration failed – OBiTalk did not provide device information
    Config:ERR:2Configuration failed – OBiTalk refused to configure device with no result
    Config:ERR:3Configuration failed – OBiTalk refused to configure device with failure code
    Config:ERR:4Configuration failed – OBiTalk configure call failed

 

How to reconfigure my OBi device if the auto-configuration failed during the OneSuite account sign up process?

You could always reconfigure your OBi device by:

  1. Log into OBiTalk.com
  2. Go to Approved Service Providers in the left menu
  3. Select OneSuite
  4. On the OneSuite page, select the device and slot you’d like to configure
  5. Click “Restore existing OneSuite account” to log into your OneSuite account
  6. Your device will be automatically configured once you successfully log in
In what cases will I need to reconfigure my OBi device with OneSuite?

You will need to reconfigure your OBi device via OBiTalk.com when one of the following happens:

  1. Configuration got lost for some reason. In this case, you will hear prompt “No service configuration error” when you try to dial out.
  2. Your primary number has changed. For example, you have ported your old number to OneSuite.
  3. Your VoIP password has changed. (Your VoIP password can be changed in your OneSuite account, on the LONG DISTANCE summary page, under Call from Internet.)
Can I use my OBi device with OneSuite overseas?

Yes. Once it is successfully configured, you can use OBi devices with OneSuite anywhere in the world, as long as it is connected the Internet and an analog phone. Just use it as if you were dialing from the U.S.

Please note: Call quality depends on Internet signal strength.

Can I auto-configure OBi device to my OneSuite account without subscribing to SuiteAdvantage?

Yes, if you only wish to make outbound calls and not receive calls via a dedicated phone number. You could follow the steps to configure your OBi device for making broadband calls with OneSuite:

  1. Log into OneSuite account.
  2. Go to Long Distance > Call from Internet; and verify if you see a password showing in “VoIP/Softphone Password”. If it’s blank, click on “Change Password” to generate a new password.
  3. Log into OBiTalk.com
  4. Go to Approved Service Providers in the left menu
  5. Select OneSuite
  6. On the OneSuite page, select the device and slot you’d like to configure
  7. Click “Restore existing OneSuite account” to log into your OneSuite account
  8. Your device will be automatically configured once you successfully logged in
How to access my voicemail from my phone connected to the OBi device?

Simply dial *0 from the phone connected to your OBi device. See here for more questions regarding SuiteAdvantage Voicemail.

Can I also use the OneSuite VoIP smartphone app along with OBi device?

Yes, but incoming calls will only ring 1 place, the last registered device.
