FAQ - Long Distance

How do I register my phone number to go PINless?

Register your phone number as ZipDial in your OneSuite account so you can skip entering your PIN when making cheap international calls with OneSuite.

If you have a U.S. or Canada phone number (or learn about registering phones for non-U.S. or -Canada phone numbers), follow these steps to register your phone:

  1. Log in to your OneSuite account
  2. Select LONG DISTANCE on the left side menu, click on PIN MANAGEMENT
  3. Click on change on the upper right-hand corner
  4. Under the Account field, enter your 10 digit phone number, select ZipDial. Choose whether or not you'd like to hear minute or balance announcements
  5. Click on Submit

Next, for more convenience, speed-dial your contacts by setting up:

  • Favorite 10 for one-touch dialing if you are in the US/Canada
  • RapiDial Phonebook: Got more contacts? Not in the US/Canada? Use RapiDial for 2-digit destination number dialing.
How do I register my phone number if I'm using a non-U.S./Canada phone?

A: If you have a non-U.S. or -Canada phone number (maximum 10 digits), here's how to register your phone:

First, verify your phone number

  1. Make a call using PINDial (what is PINDial?) from the phone you'd like to set up as ZipDial.
  2. Log in to your OneSuite account, go to HISTORY along the top menu bar.
  3. Select a period which covers the call you just made.
  4. Find the call you just made, and the complete number under "Call From." This is the number to use for your phone registration.

Next, register your phone:

  1. From the left side menu, select LONG DISTANCE, click on PIN MANAGEMENT.
  2. Click on change on the upper right-hand corner
  3. Under the Account field, enter your phone number as listed in the "Call From" column, select ZipDial. Choose whether or not you'd like to hear minute or balance announcements
  4. Click on Submit

For even faster international dialing, manage your contacts by setting up RapiDial Phonebook for 2-digit destination number dialing.

I'm using a public phone, do I need to register my phone number?

When you're using a public payphone, borrowing a friend's phone, or using any phone for just one-time, you can use OneSuite as a prepaid calling card.

So you won't need to register your phone number, but use PINDial (what is PINDial?) instead to make cheap international calls.

Can I call from a rotary phone using OneSuite?

No, a touch-tone telephone is required for our system to process your calls.

Do I need to notify my current long-distance carrier or my local phone company of my choice to use OneSuite?

No, you do not! Using OneSuite will not affect your current plan, so no need to notify or cancel your phone company or long-distance carrier.

What are the rates for calling each country?

You can find all of OneSuite's cheap low rates on our Rates Page.

Can I turn off the account balance and minutes remaining audio announcements to speed the connection time when placing a call?

Yes. The account balance and minutes remaining features can be turned off (and turned on again) as needed in the "Long Distance" section of the "My Account" page. In Long Distance:

  1. Click on the "Edit" link under the "Register Your Phones, Skip PIN" or "Use It As Phone Card" headings or
  2. Click on the "Change" link under "PIN Management" section.
Once the next screen loads, you will see check-boxes for the individual audio announcements next to each PINDial or ZipDial number. Turn the announcements on or off as you wish, then click "Submit".
